Celebrating 50 Years of the Volkswagen Polo in South Africa
I travelled to South Africa with Volkswagen to celebrate 50 years of the Polo — an incredible milestone for such an iconic car. The trip was the perfect blend of adventure and automotive passion, starting with an unforgettable self-drive safari through breathtaking landscapes before heading trackside for the legendary Simola Hill Climb.
As a car presenter, I loved being part of such a special celebration, seeing how the Polo’s story connects people all over the world and experiencing first-hand the excitement Volkswagen created around this anniversary. From wildlife on safari to the roar of engines on the hill climb, it was an amazing reminder of why I enjoy every opportunity to share automotive stories on and off screen.
